2230
- Stardate 2230.06: Spock is born on Vulcan. (Star Trek Motion Picture Adaptation, Chapter 1, Star Trek deleted scene)
- The U.S.S. Kelvin NCC-0514 makes first contact with the planet Royla. Keenser leaves his homeworld to join Starfleet. ("Keenser's Story")
2231
- Montgomery Christopher Jorgensen Scott learns about his ancestor who served aboard the H.M.S. Enterprise in 1787, and is given a set of bagpipes to fix by his grandfather. He and his brother, Robbie, steal away to the Linlithgow Shipyard, and sneak aboard a ship under construction. ("Scotty")
2233
- Stardate 2233.04: The Narada emerges from a temporal rift and destroys the U.S.S. Kelvin NCC-0514. Captain Richard Robau and Lieutenant Commander George Kirk are killed. James Kirk is born aboard Medical Shuttle 37. (Star Trek) Nero and the crew of the Narada are captured by a Klingon task force led by Kor and incarcerated at Rura Penthe. (Star Trek: Nero, Chapter 1)
2239
- Robert April, Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise, is listed by his first officer, Commander Marcus as killed in action during a mission to explore the planet Phaedus IV; the Enterprise is the first ship to visit the planet. (Star Trek: Countdown to Darkness, Chapter 2) In reality, April was part of a Section 31 plot to arm one side of a civil war on the pre-warp planet, while the Klingon Empire armed the other. The proxy war was intended as a less-costly method for the Empire to expand, without having to resort to direct conquest. (Star Trek: Countdown to Darkness, Chapter 3)
